If only it were this simple.

You have probably heard the phrase “everybody has a book in them,” which seems to imply that they could easily write one.  Well, I might agree that everybody has  book in them, but that does not mean to imply that everybody can (or should) write a book.  Just saying.

We spoke in the past about the gap between your taste and your abilities when you start writing.  Well, most of us know that we need to write lots and lots and lots before we start to get anything even remotely good, and maybe then we will be able to get that book out of our system in a way that does not embarrass and depress us.

And if we are really lucky, maybe another one will take its place.

So what do you think?  Does everybody have a book in them?  And do you think some people can just write it from scratch without even trying?

I think everyone has a story, but not necessarily a book! LOL! Now here’s another question. I people who read what you write that you ought to write a book, does that mean that you may have a book in you? Just askin’.
